Proven Leadership in Advanced Materials & Global Markets
With nearly 20 years of experience in advanced materials and high-value metals, I have built a career helping businesses grow across the aerospace, defence, automotive, and energy sectors.
My expertise spans magnesium, titanium, nickel alloys, and aerospace-grade steels, combining strategic business development with hands-on commercial execution. From opening new markets and developing distribution channels to managing complex OEM and defence relationships, I have consistently delivered growth across the UK, Europe, and international markets.
Most recently, as Global Sales Growth Leader at Luxfer MEL Technologies, I have led the commercial strategy for a £22 million advanced magnesium business, working directly with major defence organisations including BAE Systems, Saab, Rheinmetall, and MBDA. Prior to this, I grew a specialist alloy product portfolio from £1.5 million to £19 million while maintaining industry-leading margins.
My earlier career with Tata Steel, Castle Metals, and Corus provided extensive experience in aerospace account management, export sales, supply chains, and international market development.
I hold an MBA, a BA (Hons) in Business & Marketing, and Chartered Manager status (CMgr MCMI), combining academic rigour with practical commercial leadership.
Today, I use this experience to help materials science companies accelerate growth, strengthen customer relationships, and unlock new opportunities in complex, high-performance markets.
